Rowe strikes for winning goal
Federal Way High School graduate Kelyn Rowe scored his first goal as a Seattle Sounders player Wednesday, striking in the 62nd minute on a left footed shot to send the team on its way to a 2-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo.
"I kind of blacked out once it went in," said Rowe in a post game press conference. "It was just a great feeling. Obviously right in front of the fans, so pure enjoyment and ecstasy."
Seattle ran its record to 8-0-5 with the win, setting a new record for the best Major League Soccer start without a loss ever.
"This is an amazing run," Rowe said.
It was the 30th goal of Rowe's career but his first since 2018 when he played for the New England Revolution.
