Fall practices

Football is set to kick off its fall practices on Wednesday, Aug. 18 across the state this year, with all other fall sports beginning Monday, Aug. 23.

Mariners

Seattle hosts the Texas Rangers for a 7:10 p.m. Wednesday game at T-Mobile Park ahead of a 1:10 p.m. contest Thursday.

The Toronto Blue Jays fly in for 7:10 p.m. action Friday and Saturday and for a 1:10 p.m. Sunday game.

The Mariners visit Texas at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday.

All of the action will be carried on the ROOT Sports Northwest cable television network.

Sounders

Seattle visits Portland for a 5:30 p.m. Sunday match that can be seen on Fox Sports 1.

Seahawks

Seattle opens its preseason schedule with a 6 p.m. Saturday visit to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Channel 13 will televise the action live.

Storm

Seattle faces a 6 p.m. Thursday game against Connecticut in Phoenix that will be shown on Amazon Prime.

OL Reign

Seattle visits Kansas City for 5 p.m. Saturday women's soccer action on Paramount+.

Emerald Downs

The Auburn horse racing oval is open for action at 6 p.m. Thursday, 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Rainiers

Tacoma hosts the Las Vegas Aviators for 7:05 p.m. games at Cheney Stadium this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The action starts at 1:35 p.m. Sunday and 11:35 a.m. Monday ahead of another 7:05 p.m. game Tuesday.

Aquasox

Everett is at Vancouver for 7:05 p.m. games Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday followed by a 4:05 p.m. Sunday game.

The Aquasox travel to Eugene to play the Emeralds at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday.
