The City Council’s Land Use and Neighborhoods Committee (Committee) will hold a public hearing to receive comment about Council Bill 120149, which would amend Seattle’s Land Use Code, on Wednesday, September 9, 2021.
In the Ballard-Interbay-Northend Manufacturing/Industrial Center (BINMIC), the proposed bill would allow indoor sports and recreation uses up to 50,000 square feet with at least one parking space per 2,000 square feet on sites that are:
• Located 500 feet or more from a shoreline;
• Located within 300 feet of land zoned either Neighborhood Commercial or Seattle Mixed;
• Located within 1/4 mile of a public park with active recreation use such as sports fields or sports courts; and
• Not located within 1 mile of another indoor sports and recreation use in the BINMIC that exceeds 25,000 square feet in size.
PUBLIC HEARING
The City Council’s Land Use and Neighborhoods Committee will hold a public hearing on the proposed bill on Wednesday, September 9, 2021 at 9:30 AM. The hearings will be held in the: City Council Chambers 2nd floor, Seattle City Hall 600 Fourth Avenue Due to the COVID-19 civil emergency declared by the City and the State of Washington, persons who wish to participate in or attend the hearing may be required to do so remotely. The City will provide instructions in the meeting agenda on how to participate remotely.
