Update 5:45pm

The power is largely restored for West Seattle with small pockets on Holden and elsewhere remaining, the largest at 43 people on SW Cambridge Street north of Roxbury Street. The power in Burien is another matter with Three Tree Point still out.

Update 3:33pm

Lights are flickering for many people in West Seattle another set of outages takes hold, this time affecting 4440. The cause is listed as a tree and restoration not expected until after 5pm. This outage is focused primarily east of 35th SW encompassing the Highland Park neighborhood, South the Henderson Street SW and north to nearly Juneau Street SW.

Down in Burien the power outages are largely confined to the Three Tree Point area and Maplewild Drive SW with 324 out. Restoration is expected by Monday at 2pm.

Update12:14pm

The number without power has been reduced to just 30, concentrated in the Highland Park neighborhood. Restoration is now estimated to come around 5 pm. High wind gusts are expected to return to the area this afternoon and evening.

High wind gusts that blew into the Puget Sound region on Sunday morning, took out the power for more than 1000 City Light Customers starting around 8:24am. Restoration was not expected before 4pm according to City LIght.

The outage extended from 17th SW then east and south across Hwy 509 in pockets.From Barton Street SW on the south edge in West Seattle proper north across Myrtle Street SW halfway to Holly Street SW.

High winds are expected to be in the 20mph range until later this afternoon when they will become stronger with gusts in the 30mph range. More outages are possible.

A High Wind Warning has been issued for portions of the Coast and Northern Interior, that began early Sunday morning, while a Wind Advisory from the National Weather Service has been issued for some locations around Puget Sound and the Cascade foothills.
