#2022-009805/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-12-2022 at 7:50pm, officers responded to an armed carjacking that occurred in the 6500 Block of 35th Av SW. Officers learned that two male suspects, one armed with a handgun, approached the victim on foot as he was leaving a local restaurant.

The suspect pointed the gun at the victim and demanded his keys and wallet. Both suspects then fled in the victim’s white Acura ATL south on 35th SW. An area check was conducted but the suspects were not located. Screened with Robbery. No shots were fired, and no one was injured.

#2022-009816/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-12-2022 at 8:11pm, which is approximately 20 minutes after an armed carjacking (22-9805), officers responded to a robbery of Origins cannabis shop at 40th and Edmunds Street SW.

Three armed suspects entered the store and demanded product and money.

The suspects then fled the scene with money and product.

Containment was set up and a KCSO K9 responded and attempted a track, but the suspects were not located. Screened with Robbery. Patrol processed the scene.

No shots were fired, and no one was injured.

The description of one of the suspects matches that of the carjacking documented under 22-9805.
