#2022-015027/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch: 

On 01-19-2022 at 2:14 am, a shots call near Westcrest Park in the 8600 block of 8th Ave SW was called in.

Approximately 45 minutes later, a victim with a gunshot wound to the left thigh showed up at the VA Hospital. Officers responded and were told by the victim that he had been shot near Westcrest Park.

Officers located the shooting scene, recovered evidence of a shooting, and took audio statements from two witnesses located at the scene.

Gun Violence Reduction Unit notified.
