information from the City of Burien
We are experiencing continued challenges with COVID-19 and the Omicron variant. Therefore, the City will extend the closure of facilities to the general public until February 28, with a review date of February 15.
Recreation programs at the Burien Community Center and Moshier Art Center, however, received permission to run in-person classes to registered participants only starting the week of February 22. Doors will remain locked to other services and programs. Afterschool programs occurring at schools will continue as scheduled per the Highline School District’s Schedule.
If you are registered for a program with a start date in February, you will be transferred to the next available scheduled program date. If that date does not work for you, we will issue a refund to your original payment method. Front desk staff will be contacting you with program date changes to accommodate what works best for your schedule.
For Moshier Winter Quarter Students: Your class will be postponed until the week of February 22 with classes running the full length of time into spring. If that does not work for you, please contact the Burien Community Center (206)-988-3700 to request a refund. We will provide updates as information becomes available.
Some recreation programs are available virtually or through Burien TV, Channel 21 with most cable providers. Please check our website at burienwa.gov for more information.
