As you drive through the West Seattle Junction you will see a difference soon, especially in the evenings since permanent lights are being installed in the trees along California Ave. SW. The lighting was made possible by grant from the Seattle Office of Economic Development, that was applied for last year by outgoing Executive Direct for the West Seattle Junction Association (WSJA), Lora Radford.
Also part of the grant was the replacement of the flag style banners that have been part of the public art on display for the past few years. Those banners had faded and Chris Mackay, the present Executive Director for the WSJA said that new ones will take their place coming up this March.
