Police say they are linked to recent crimes in Tacoma and Federal Way

Two of the suspects in the brazen armed robbery at Bellevue Rare Coins in the West Seattle Junction have been identified and one is in custody. Marshon Jones, 15 and Montrell Hatfield, 16 were confirmed as suspects linked to a pawn shop robbery in Federal Way and a cannabis store robbery in Tacoma where an employee was shot to death. Jones has been arrested but Hatfield remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. If you know his whereabouts you are urged to call 911.
Police arrested the suspects shortly after the Federal Way robbery, but King County Superior Court Judge AverilRothrock permitted them to be released on electronic home monitoring. Both suspects escaped. So far they have only been charged with the Federal Way robbery.

Photos of the suspects who robbed Bellevue Rare Coins in the West Seattle Junction on Wednesday have been released. They were armed with at least one gun and carried hammers. The photos show two other suspects with ball peen hammers. Also shown were the smashed display cases inside the store. Due to the damage done to the display cases and supply chain issues the store will not reopen until this summer.

The company released a statement on April 7:
Beginning today, April 7, 2022, Bellevue Rare Coins will be closing their West Seattle location for remodeling and updating their security measures. This closure will be effective immediately and last through July 2022.
In light of recent events we will be taking this opportunity to not only improve the aesthetics and layout of our store for a more satisfying experience for our customers. This remodel will also improve the safety and security for our customers, as well as our staff. As safety for all is our top priority, we will also be utilizing this time to improve security at all other Bellevue Rare Coins locations, bringing all protocols and equipment up-to-date with state of the art security. During this time of closure, all West Seattle staff will be relocated to surrounding locations to better serve our community and meet the needs of our customers.
We look forward to serving our West Seattle customers again in July, with a safer and updated environment.

Bellevue Rare Coins in the West Seattle junction was the victim of an armed robbery around 5:30 pm on Wednesday.
The men took the cash register and were seen fleeing the scene in what was reported as a black Honda Accord sedan.
According to Seattle Police the thieves dropped some evidence in the process of trying to get away.
The store is closed until Monday as they look after their employees.
