Desmond Hansen has restored the painting of Chris Cornell that was defaced last week. The portrait is on the traffic signal control box at 35th SW and SW Alaska Street and joins more than 60 other luminaries in the Seattle area.

After someone with an apparent grudge defaced the mural painting of Chris Cornell on the south wall of Easy Street Record in the junction and one on the signal control box near 35th SW and Alaska Street SW, the public outcry filled social media.
That outrage was matched by the outpouring of appreciation and support for Son Duong and his daughter who came out to repaint (and even improve) on his original work.
Now the restoration (and again an improvement) is complete since well known West Seattle artist Desmond Hansen has restored the signal control box with a new painting.
