With people's eyes burning, breathing made difficult the Air Quailty Index in Seattle on Wednesday reached hazardous levels. Only Lahore Pakistan was worse.

Seattle's average air quality was ranked at 209 meaning PM2.5 concentration.  Seattle is currently 31.7 times the WHO annual air quality guideline value. That is considered "very unhealthy" by the Airnow.gov website.

The forecast calls for improving air quality and then a continuing series of weather systems bringing wind and rain to the Seattle area over the next week.
