The westbound lanes of the West Seattle Bridge were shut down after a wrong way driver in a pickup truck collided with a sedan carrying to 18 year olds.The 18 year olds were killed. The truck driver was injured.

The two 18 year olds that were killed in the wrong way crash on the West Seattle Bridge early Wednesday morning were Riley Danard and Khalea Thoeuk.
Thoeuk was in 12th grade at Snohomish High School. Danard was a former student at Snohomish High School during 2021-2022.
Eric Carew said on social media that he was coming home from work and witnessed the driver cross the median at the top of the West Seattle Bridge.
"I was turning left by Taco Time onto 35th he was in the eastbound lane by the Bar b Que place facing East on the entrance to the bridge. I watched him cross over to the westbound lanes and drive east."
Carew said he pulled over to call 911 but during that call the incident took place.

Two people were killed in a crash mid span on the West Seattle Bridge in the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 22.
The bridge was shut down westbound, after a white pickup truck was headed the wrong way and collided with a sedan
The maie driver and female passenger of the were both pronounced dead at the scene. Both were 18 years old.
The male driver of the pickup truck that was traveling the wrong way suffered serious injuries and was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
According to police the driver showed signs of impairment and is under investigation for vehicular homicide.
