State pairings have been announced for boys soccer and baseball action this week along with the district draws for fastpitch softball.Ballard faces a Tuesday state Class 3A playin match in boys soccer, hosting Kent-Meridian for 4:30 p.m. action at Interbay Stadium.The winner goes to Shoreline Stadium to face Shorewood in an opening round matchup Friday with Friday's winner advancing to a Saturday state quarterfinal.Foster, on the other hand, goes directly to the opening round in Class 2A play.The No. 16 seeded Bulldogs travel south to visit No. 1-seeded Columbia River at 7 p.m. Wednesday.The winner advances to a Friday or Saturday state quarterfinal.West Seattle earned a No. 3 state seed in baseball and will host state regional action Saturday at the Southwest Athletic Complex.The Wildcats play Gig Harbor or Stadium at 10 a.m. needing a win to advance to the regional championship at approximately 4 p.m.The regional champion goes on to the state final four in Everett next week.West Seattle is also playing at the SWAC in softball, taking on Lake Washington in 5:30 p.m. Tuesday loser-out District 2 action.Ballard enters the tournament in the second round Wednesday, playing the Lincoln vs. Liberty winner at 5:30 p.m.The tournament concludes Friday.Kennedy Catholic is in the Class 4A District 3/4 tournament at the Kent Service Club fields.The Lancers play Olympia at 10 a.m. Friday to open.Highline and Tyee go on to 2A district play in Lacey this Friday, but those pairings have not been announced yet.
