Tulips Nails at Jefferson Square was the victim of a smash and grab robbery early Friday morning around 5am. A car rammed their store front, completely shattering the front door and window.
According to a friend of the owner Kesa Sten "they are in good spirits and still open today, even with nothing fixed yet! If you aren’t loyal to any particular salon or this is your salon of choice, they could use some love and support from their community."
Sten said they 'stole cash, checks, and their huge Buddha statue- would probably take 3 people to lift and carry, she said it was extremely heavy."
The salon was already struggling due to a car that smashed into the AT&T store next door, damaging their business too. That incident was apparently accidental however.
