Admiral District Halloween off to a howling start; Events continue on Saturday with a Pub Crawl and more

Hundreds of kids with families in tow made it up the Admiral District Halloween celebration on Oct. 27. Quite a few participating merchants took part with large bowls of candy out to greet the costumed kids (and some adults). Peter Morse of Mission Cantina said "We go through 100 pounds of candy easy so this year we're prepared," gesturing to several large bags of sweets behind him.
Gretchen and Bill Evans, owners of the Circa Alehouse said "We are giving out 1050 full size candy bars this year as we do every year., " and true to their word kids were grabbing them up, one per person.
The Halloween event continues on Saturday night with a Pub Crawl starting at The Nook at 4pm, featuring a showing the Rocky Horror Picture Show at 8 at the Admiral Pub followed by a 9pm Drag Show and costume contest.
