#2024-006461/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 1-8-2024, at 01:14am, Southwest Patrol responded to a report of a stabbing on a King County Metro Coach near the 2600 block of Southwest Barton Street.
SPD and KCSO arrived on scene with SFD and located the victim who had sustained a non-life-threatening stab wound.
The investigation determined that the incident had occurred outside of the bus on a sidewalk adjacent to a Metro bus shelter.
The suspect and victim had engaged in a physical disturbance before the suspect stabbed the victim. The victim ran to the nearby bus, occupied by the bus driver, and asked for help.
The suspect fled from the scene on foot. KCSO K9 responded to assist in conducting a search for the suspect. No suspect was located at this time. The victim was transported from the scene via AMR to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
