It's tournament time for the Metro League in boys and girls basketball.
West Seattle is the No. 5 seed in both championship tournaments and is already assured of advancing to the Sea-King District tournament.
The Wildcat boys open with a 7 p.m. Monday game at Rainier Beach, with the girls paying a visit to Seattle Prep at the same time.
Both Chief Sealth and both Ballard teams find themselves in the District Qualifying tournaments, opening with loser-out contests.
The Chief Sealth girls open at home against Nathan Hale at 7 p.m. Monday, while the boys open at Ingraham at the same time.
Both Ballard teams earned first round byes and open Tuesday.
The girls host Franklin at 5:30 p.m. and the boys entertain Cleveland at 7 p.m.
Tournament action continues Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
