Seattle Police Officers surround a suspect and passenger in a vehicle that was part of a high speed pursuit after a drive by shooting Nov. 22. Multiple firearms were recovered.
The Seattle Police Department has published a video about the high speed pursuit and arrest of a drive by shooting suspect that took place last fall.
On November 22nd, 2023, Seattle Police with the assistance of King County Sheriff’s Office air support pursued and apprehended a drive-by shooting suspect.
Shortly after 2:00 p.m., near the intersection of 4th Avenue South and South Lucille Street, police located a vehicle suspected to be involved in a drive-by shooting. The vehicle was reported stolen and was also associated with a reported burglary. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, it took off at a high rate of speed.
Officers pursued the vehicle and eventually stopped the pursuit using a PIT maneuver in the 900 block of Airport Way South. The male suspect was taken into custody and a female passenger was identified and released. No injuries were reported.
Officers recovered multiple firearms from the vehicle. Three dogs were also in the vehicle and were uninjured.
The 32-year-old male suspect was be booked into King County Jail for investigation of drive-by shooting, eluding, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
