3A state meet
Ballard captured third place among Class 3A teams in action held at Sammamish High School last week.
The Beavers racked up 172.950 points in Friday's team and all-around competitions.
Alex Bullock led the way for Ballard by placing 11th in the all-round with 35.880 points.
Naomi Kidal came in 17th with 34.950 points and Caitlyn Adkins placed 19th with 34.475.
Justene Li was 37th with a 32.325 total and Brooke Adkins 59th with 25.875.
Dylan Kelly of the Beavers finished 87th (17.150), with Vivi Corsini 110th (9.025) and Ruby Stan 121st (8.950).
Bullock also placed in three individual event finals Saturday. She took 15th in the floor exercise at 8.750, 16th in the vault ((8.500) and 17th in the bars (7.650).
Four Beavers placed in the beam.
Kidal captured fourth with a 9.200, Corsini sixth with a 9.125, Brooke Adkins ninth with a 9.075 and Caitlyn Adkins 13th with an 8.550.
4A state meet
Mount Rainier took 21st as a team on the 17.650 points scored by Jade Diamond Swanson in the all-around.
Boys basketball
Lincoln (Tacoma) 59, West Seattle 53
West Seattle's season ended with Saturday's close loss to the Abes at Bellevue College.
The Wildcats finished with a 16-12 overall record while the Abes take a 21-8 mark to the Tacoma Dome.
