Actress Margaret Qualley has been named as the lead in the limited series, Waiting to be heard, based on the memoir by Amanda Knox.
Former West Seattlieite Amanda Knox and husband Chris Robinson announced the lead actress who will play Amanda in a limited series based on her memoir.
The official description for the show states that it is “based on the true story of how Knox was wrongfully convicted for the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher and her 16-year odyssey to set herself free.”
We are thrilled to announce that Hulu has ordered an 8 episode limited series based on Amanda's memoir, Waiting to Be Heard. Amanda and Chris are executive producing, alongside KJ Steinberg, who is the creator and showrunner. Also executive producing are Monica Lewinsky, as well as Warren Littlefield, Lisa Harrison, Ann Johnson and Graham Littlefield of the Littlefield Co. Margaret Qualley, who has been cast to play Amanda, is also an executive producer. You may have seen Margaret in the Netflix Series Maid, in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, in Yorgos Lanthimos's Poor Things, or Ethan Coen's Drive Away Dolls. She is a fantastic actress, and we're thrilled to be partnering with her, with the rest of our brilliant team, and with 20th Television and Hulu to bring this important story to the screen.
