West Seattle waltzed out to a 6-0 lead in the top of the first inning and never really had to look back as it decisively won Saturday's game for the Class 3A state championship.
The Wildcats, who won this year's Metro League playoff championship two weeks earlier, entered state play as the No. 5 seed.
They won both regional games in Edmonds last week to earn this week's trip to the state semifinals and finals played at GESA Stadium in Pasco.
West Seattle rode a combined shutout to a 6-0 victory over Eastside Catholic in a Friday semifinal.

Saturday's match for third and fourth place in the state Class 3A ranks went all the way to a shootout before it was settled in the Beavers' favor.

Ballard finished with an 11-10-2 record.
The Beavers were only the No. 15 seed going into the state playoffs.
But Ballard came close to making the championship, only losing to Lake Washington by a 1-0 score in a Friday semifinal.

Ballard fell short of state placement with Saturday morning's loss to the Rebels, who the Beavers had defeated by an 11-8 score in the District 2 championship eight days earlier.
Ballard was the No. 2 state seed and Juanita the No. 3.
The Beavers were derailed by a state opening 13-4 loss to Heritage Friday morning.
They battled back for a 6-4 win over Stanwood and a 17-3 win over Mount Spokane later in Friday's action at the Regional Athletic Complex in Lacey to reach Saturday's game.
