West Seattle finished fourth in this past week's Juniors age 13 state Little League girls fastpitch softball tournament.
The Westsiders posted a 1-2 record in the action hosted by District 7 at the Steven J. Underwood fields in Des Moines.
West Seattle opened last Monday with a 12-1 loss to District 8 but bounced back to beat District 9 by a 2-1 score Wednesday.
That sent the team on to the next night's game to get into the loser's bracket final, which it lost to District 10 champion South Hill of Puyallup by only a 4-3 score.
West Seattle qualified for the tournament as the District 7 champions.
Major baseball
West Seattle opened state Majors age 10-12 action in Aberdeen with an 8-0 loss to Pacific on Saturday.
The team returns to Pioneer Park to play a 3:30 p.m. Monday loser's bracket game.
10's softball
West Seattle took a 5-1 loss to South Hill in its state age 8-10 Little League all-star opener Sunday.
The team stays in Othello for a 9 a.m. Monday loser's bracket game against Glenwood.
