To quote the late announcer Dave Niehaus during the Seattle Mariners' magical 1995 playoff run, "It just continues."
The Kennedy Catholic Lancers routed yet another opponent Friday, blowing away Mount Si by a 58-3 score in a Class 4A multi-district game played at Highline Memorial.
Kennedy came in as the North Puget Sound League Class 4A champions and now boasts a 10-0 overall record.
Next up for the Lancers is the state playoffs, starting with a 7 p.m. Friday game at Highline Memorial against the Richland Bombers of Eastern Washington.
Kennedy Catholic was ranked as the No. 4 state 4A team by the seeding committee and Richland was ranked No. 13.
Chief Sealth and Foster both played in Class 2A multi-district playoffs last week and lost to see the end of their seasons.
Chief Sealth absorbed a 48-10 defeat at the hands of Sehome last Saturday at Bellingham's Civic Stadium.
Foster fell at Ferndale on Friday by a 77-12 score.
Ferndale is the No. 2 seeded team going into state.
Teams that did not make the postseason had non-playoff crossovers last week.
West Seattle and Ballard played each other Thursday with the Wildcats pulling out a 23-20 win at home.
Mount Rainier and Evergreen both won by identical 38-6 scores Thursday.
Mount Rainier journeyed to Redmond and the Wolverines hosted Cleveland of Seattle.
Highline did not play a non-playoff crossover.
