The Argosy Cruises Christmas ship paid two visits to West Seattle on Nov. 23 in an early stop due to the fact that Thanksgiving is very late this year, occurring on the fourth Thursday of the month.
The crowd on shore were entertained by the Pacific Sound Chorus who sang from the boat.
According to Argosy Cruises they also altered their schedule due to work being done on the Ballard Locks. They normally do numerous stops on Lake Washington and in the past had come to Lowman Beach, down to Des Moines and even in Manchester
They first stopped near Seacrest Park and then later near the Alki Bathhouse. An estimated 2000 people showed up and enjoyed free hot chocolate, clam chowder and other goodies from Alki restaurants all sponsored by the Alki Community Council.
The ships are set to appear next in Ballard.
