West Seattle residents will soon gain enhanced access to primary and specialty care with the opening of the new Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) clinic on December 9th. Located at 3400 California Avenue SW, the clinic will offer a range of services including primary care, women’s health (OB/GYN), cardiology, gastroenterology, and rheumatology.
Spanning 20,000 square feet, this state-of-the-art facility will replace the current primary and specialty care location, with plans for future expansions to accommodate additional providers and services. Despite the move, VMFH will continue to offer urgent care services at 4755 Fauntleroy Way SW.
The clinic's grand opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 22nd. Community members and clinic staff gathered to commemorate the occasion, with speeches from VMFH CEO Ketul J. Patel, board member Dr. Uli Chi, and Jane Root, President of the Physician Enterprise - Northwest Market.
“We are incredibly excited to open this new clinic, expanding primary care and introducing more specialty care options to the West Seattle community,” said Patel. “Our commitment is to bring high-quality, specialty care closer to home for our patients, and this new clinic embodies that mission.”
Attendees of the event were given tours of the new patient care spaces, highlighting the light-filled waiting area and the collaborative workspaces designed to foster teamwork across specialties.
“Every patient has unique needs and health care goals,” said Root. “Our aim is to provide coordinated, compassionate care at every step, enhancing patient experiences and outcomes. This new clinic arrives at the perfect time as our team continues to grow and meet increasing patient demand.”
For patients requiring services beyond the core offerings of the new clinic, coordinated care will be available at VMFH hospitals, including St. Anne Hospital in Burien and Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.
Appointments at the new clinic can be scheduled Monday through Friday starting at 7 a.m. For more information or to schedule certain appointments online, visit www.vmfh.org/west-seattle and www.vmfh.org/access.
