Seattle police officers arrested a 28-year-old woman after she crashed her vehicle into an occupied home in West Seattle.
Just after midnight on Feb. 13, patrol officers were dispatched to the collision in the 200 block of Southwest Roxbury Street. The vehicle went off the roadway, through two different yards and a chain link fence, and rotated nearly 180 degrees before colliding into the residence.
Police found the registered owner of the vehicle outside of her car seemingly uninjured. There were no injuries to the occupants of the townhome.
The investigating officer determined the woman was the sole occupant of her vehicle and was seen crawling out of the driver’s seat after the crash.
She was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) and transported to the Southwest Precinct. Her vehicle was not drivable and was impounded.
Police applied for a DUI search warrant, and it was signed by a judge. An SPD officer certified as a phlebotomist performed a legal blood draw on the suspect.
She was booked into the King County Jail.
The Seattle Police Department encourages the public to call 911 if they suspect a driver may be impaired by alcohol or drugs.
