Police Beat

1. A neighbor called to report a domestic dispute in progress at 29317 18th Avenue South #A. Upon arrival, officers heard voices inside. Finally, the woman there opened the door a few inches after the police notified the residents of their presence. Then the woman attempted to slam the door in the face of the officers. The police forced their way in, and the woman continued to be belligerent and aggressive. She and her boyfriend denied having any dispute or altercation.
2. A man living with his niece at 34604 28th Place Southwest was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault and domestic violence.
3. A woman came into the station to report the theft and fraudulent use of a check from her home at 29326 8th Avenue South. The woman told police that she kept the checks in her desk in her computer room. She last used the checks at Costco on 11/21 and the fraudulent check was cashed on 11/22. Buy-Design General Contracting was remodeling her home on 11/21 and at least five employees had access to the inside of her home. There are concerns one of the employees stole the check.
4. A landlady notified police that thieves stole a washing machine and dryer that belonged to the Stonehaven Apartment Complex. She said someone entered the unit she was vacating at 1900 Southwest Campus Drive, #27-102, and stole the appliances.
5. Officers followed up on a domestic disturbance at 2532 South 317th Street, #308. The police arrived and found one of the involved party extremely intoxicated. The report stated that officers could not understand the person very well, but that he indicated their argument was verbal only. The woman told police that there was a little shoving during the argument, but that she was not injured and never felt any pain. The woman spent the night at a neighbor's house that night.
6. Officers reported suspicious circumstances when they arrived at the scene of a domestic dispute at 33320 Pacific Highway South. The police made contact with the couple during their argument. After separating the two, officers determined that neither showed any signs of injury. The woman told police that a female friend had pushed her down and that her boyfriend had come to her defense. She told police she only yelled at her boyfriend when he tried to help her up.
7. The owner of a white 1990 Toyota reported his vehicle stolen from his apartment complex at The Heights at 125 Southwest Campus Drive. A friend noticed the car was stolen around 1:30 a.m.
8. 31500 1st Avenue South, #17-304, was the site of another domestic dispute in Federal Way. Officers arrived to find the couple fighting. The husband reportedly broke small fishbowls in the apartment. Neither complained of any pain or injuries.
9. Federal Way officers busted a juvenile after he failed to give a good reason why he was at the apartment complex at 32114 20th Lane Southwest, #131. After checking his records, the officers determined he had an outstanding felony warrant for residential burglary. The boy was subsequently trespassed from the Woodtrail Village Apartments.
10. Officers arrested Jose M. Marquez after they arrived at 42 South 333rd Lane, #B. Marquez was involved in a domestic dispute with another person. After a background check, FW police determined he had an outstanding warrant in Tacoma for child support reasons.
