Live-in caretaker looks to get paid
1. Police responded to a report about a woman who requires 24/7 care. The woman has a caretaker living with her at her residence at the 28600 block of 25th Place South. A complainant contacted the authorities and stated that the caretaker was trying to get paid for her care while living with the woman. The complainant wanted to make sure that APS and DSHS are aware of the situation.
Traffic stop leads to arrest
2. After a routine traffic stop near 31800 Pacific Highway South, Federal Way officers discovered that the driver of the blue 1972 Ford had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Robert A. Coggle, who had an outstanding warrant from Renton, was driving with a suspended license. Officer pulled him over because his vehicle did not have a rear plate. Federal Way police met with Renton police and handed Coggle over to them, and later impounded his vehicle.
Aggressive realtors accused of coercing woman into assisted living
3. A report given tothe Federal Way police indicates that a 78-year-old woman living on the 32200 block of 1st Avenue South might have been financially exploited by her friends. Officers contacted the marketing director of Foundation House, who stated that the woman is an independent resident and capable of making her own decisions. According to the report, the woman's relatives from California complained when her friends, all realtors, helped her sell her home and move into an assisted living facility.
Officers nab drunk driver in two-car accident
4. Federal Way traffic police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 21st Avenue SW and Southwest 320th Street. Officers made contact with one of the drivers involved in the collision, and he gave a voluntary field sobriety test. The man failed the tests and was arrested for DUI.
Man busted for road rage, threats and violating a protection order
5. A woman contacted police to report that a man "road raged" against her near the 2100 block of Southwest 336th Street. According to her report, the man said to her, "Bitch, I'm going to kill you," while confronting her in the parking lot. The woman told police she believed the man might actually kill her. When officers later caught up to the suspect, a Dion R. Lumadue in his black and blue 1992 Chevrolet, he was with his girlfriend who has a protection order out against him. Lumadue also had at least one other outstanding warrant against him.
Violent ex fingered in tire slashing
6. A woman living on the 32500 block of 8th Avenue Southwest contacted the police to report that her tires had been slashed. There were no witnesses to the crime, but she and her family believes that her ex-boyfriend, who has threatened her in the past and now has a protection order out against him, might be to blame.
Woman threatened for double parking big vehicle
7. The owner of a gray 2000 Chevrolet contacted police because of a threatening note she received attached to her vehicle. The woman, who lives in an apartment complex on the 2100 block of Southwest 352nd Street, told police she parks the vehicle in two spots because it is oversized and people often ram their doors into it. Officers contacted the apartment manager and confirmed that the woman indeed has permission to double park her vehicle. The note stated: "Park like this again and I will vandalize the sh*t out of your car. I counted 8 times your gay a*s parked like this!!" The woman has no idea who left the note. Officers photographed it and entered it into evidence.
