On March 17 and 18, local artist Andrew Miller will bid a musical farewell to Federal Way.
His company of vocalist and dancers will perform a collection of original work at the Knutzen Family Theater.
A Federal Way High School graduate, Miller is a pianist, composer, conductor, and music instructor.
His recent work, The Answer, written for Hurricane Katrina relief, was recently nominated for a Grammy Award. This fall, his full-scale musical, The Prodigal, is scheduled to open on Broadway starring Josh Grobin and Bette Midler.
"We are very fortunate to have Andy and his company in Federal Way before he leaves for the 'Big Apple,'" said Lana Bostic, chair of the FW Arts Commission. "I'm sure this opportunity will not be available following the New York debut of his work."
Tickets to the show are $25.
