Man becomes victim of ID theft while out of the country

1. A man, who lives on the 2600 block of South 288th Street, phoned the Federal Way Police to report that someone had fraudulently used credit cards in his name. The man's report stated that he was working outside the country approximately three months ago. He recently received bills from three credit cards companies, although he felt sure he had cancelled those accounts and the corresponding cards. The man said that two of the companies requested a police report to clear the accounts. He told officers that he had not yet received statements from these credit cards to determined when and where they were used. He does not know who might be using them.
Verbal argument in vehicle leads to warrant arrest
2. Officers pulled over a blue 1988 Mercedes near 1900 South 324th Street for a simple signal violation. The driver reported arguing with his girlfriend, who was the front seat passenger. The driver did not have a valid license, and officers cited him for driving with a suspended license. The girlfriend claimed that the argument was verbal only. Federal Way police released the man with a signed copy of his DWSL 3 citation.
Pedestrian-vehicle accident sends victim to the hospital
3. Federal Way police arrived at the scene of a vehicle vs. pedestrian traffic collision at 28800 Pacific Highway South. The driver was operating a white 1986 Volvo. The victim was injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The victim's mother signed the medical release form for the officers' investigation. The incident occurred around 5:20 p.m.
Car break-in occurs at Wild Waves over busy weekend
4. A woman filled out an online police report that indicated she was the victim of a car prowler. The incident occurred sometime between noon and 4:30 p.m. over Labor Day weekend at Wild Waves / Enchanted Village, located at 36201 Enchanted Parkway South. The report states that she has just returned to the parking lot and found several items missing from her vehicle. The report did not mention any damage to the vehicle, nor did she give any suspect or witness information. The woman reported that the theives took a Canon Powershot camera, valued at $250, a Dooney and Burke wallet and a $500 HP PDA organizer. The targeted car was a black 1998 Chrystler.
Man allegedly sees saw thief before power tool goes missing
5. A man filled out an online police report stating that a power saw was stolen from in front of his home sometime between midnight and 1 a.m. The incident occurred at his residence on the 1200 block of Southwest 310th Street. The report states that the victim left the saw outside of his home unsecured overnight. Around 1 a.m., the man saw a car entering his driveway and turn around, presumably lost, but woke up the next morning and found it missing. The report did not indicate any identifying features of the vehicle, and officers have closed the case pending any new leads.
Driver's vehicle hit by unidentified flying object
6. The driver of a silver 2003 Honda contacted Federal Way Police to report damage to his vehicle which occurred while driving along the roadway near 35800 Pacific Highway South around 10 p.m. The man said he was driving along and heard a loud bang. He then noticed the windshield on the driver's side was suddenly cracked. The man is unsure how the incident occurred. He was driving behind a van and along a wooded area, but did not notice what hit the window or where the object came from. The man told officers he was unsure whether the damage was accidental or intentional. Federal Way police have closed the case pending new leads.
Golf club thief smashes car window of FW resident
7. A man called Federal Way police to report that an unknown person or person broke into his vehicle while it was parked overnight in the driveway of his home. The man lives on the 4600 block of Southwest 329th Way, and the event reportedly occurred sometime between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. The victim told police that he went out to his car in the morning and discovered the back window of his car smashed. The only thing missing from his vehicle--a black 2006 Chevrolet--was his set of golf clubs. The vehicle belongs to his employer and they indicated they will pay to repair the damages to the window. There are no witnesses or physical evidence in the case, and officers have closed the investigation pending new leads.
Car prowlers target vehicle of off-duty officer
8. An off-duty Lakewood police officer came into the station to file a report stating that his vehicle was broken into while parked overnight in the driveway in front of his home. The officer told police that his wife found the rear driver's side window smashed and their possessions strewn around the inside of the black 1997 Dodge. The incident occurred at their home on the 29800 block of 3rd Avenue Southwest. The only thing missing from his vehicle is his duty bag, but he is uncertain exactly what all was inside it. There is no suspect information or physical evidence, and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Daughter arrested after heated argument with her mother
9. Federal Way police responded to a call of a domestic disturbance at an apartment unit in the Campus Grove complex at 1300 Southwest Campus Drive. Officers met the with mother, April Brown, who reported that she and her daughter, Destiny Brown, were involved in a verbal domestic argument. Neither party reported nor exhibited any physical injuries. Destiny was taken into custody on charges not indicated in the report and transported to 272nd and Star Lake Road for Des Moines PD pickup.
