Federal Way 42, Decatur 7
Decatur and Federal Way were tied, 7-7, at the end of the first quarter Thursday, but it was all Eagles from there.
Greylin James put the Eagles on the scoreboard in the first quarter, catching a 24-yard pass from Justin Southern. Kelyn Rowe's kick was good for the extra point.
Decatur answered when Darrius Harris punched the ball in from the 1-yard line. Jacob Waddle booted the extra point.
But Federal Way struck twice in the second quarter. Andre Barrington scored on a 4-yard run and Southern on a 12-yard run. Rowe kicked both PATs -- and he went on to boot three in as many tries in the second half.
James scored on a 12-yard pass to start the third quarter off and Brandon Williams caught a 4-yard pass from Southern. Tim Givan ran the ball in from the 17-yard line to cap off the scoring in the fourth quarter.
G-K 35, Beamer 19
Todd Beamer took a long bus trip to Graham-Kapowsin Saturday, Oct. 7 -- only to come away with a loss.
The Titans only trailed, 21-6, at the end of the first quarter, with Lamardray Fuller running for an 18-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
The kick after the touchdown was no good, but Brennan Hall successfully kicked after Fuller ran for a 58-yard touchdown in the third quarter.
Beamer's last touchdown came in the fourth quarter. Cole Bixenman ran for a 13-yard score but a run for the two-point conversion failed.
Beamer 21, Em. Ridge 14
Todd Beamer jumped out to a 14-0 lead by halftime Friday and then held off the homestanding Jaguars for the win.
Lamardray Fuller scored on a 10-yard run to get things started and Brennen Hall kicked the PAT to make it 7-0. Hall's next kick put the score at 14-0 -- after Cole Bixenman punched the ball in on a 1-yard run.
Emerald Ridge closed the gap to 14-7 before Fuller scored on a 6-yard run and Hall kicked the extra point to make it 21-7. Michael Guimond scored on a 23-yard pass from Logan Bushnell to pull the Jaguars within the final 21-14 margin.

Bryant Cameron scored the Raiders' only touchdown on a 5-yard pass from Taylor Stark. Chris Wilburn kicked the extra point.

Keenan Darrow of the Raiders won medalist honors Thursday with a score of 35 at par-36 Riverbend. Teammates Matt Sullivan and Quinn Hildebrandt both shot 37 as Brian Brown, Charles Lee and Sean Carroll all scored 39.
Brandon Robbins shot a 41 for Federal Way.
Tahoma 86, Decatur 63
Colin McKenzie shot a 42 for the Gators Thursday and Matt Parker and Mikael Pitzer both checked in with 43s.

Thomas Jun won with a score of 36 Thursday, but his Todd Beamer squad came up short of Curtis in the end. Teammate Broc Johnson tied for second with a 39 and Sejin Lim's 40 tied him for fourth.

Brian Brown shot a 34 to lead the Raiders in their loss to Tahoma last Wednesday. Sean Carroll and Quinn Hildebrandt both turned in scores of 35. Charles Lee and Keenan Darrow both followed with a 38.

Andrew Scott of Kentlake earned medlist in last Tuesday's action.

Sidney Solomonson of the Gators scored a 36 to win medalist honors Thursday. Jenna Rochelle turned in a 38, Kalyn Neils a 44 and Brynne Bettesworth a 46.

Thomas Jefferson came through with a decent score over 58 but that was overwhelmed by the 110 total of Tahoma. Courtney Tappon led TJ with a 43 and Jayme Carbon shot a 43.

Kelsey Heyd's 56 led Federal Way in last Tuesday's loss.

Beamer's Jenna Bishop tied Tami Bitow of Puyallup with a round of 39 at High Cedars.

Amy Pate of Thomas Jefferson scored the winning -- and only -- goal of the game last Tuesday. Pate scored in the 75th minute on an assist by Brittany Creek. Liz Fitch earned the shutout on goal.

Federal Way score both goals Wednesday -- giving Tahoma an own goal -- but the next goal by the Eagles went into the net to tie it for keeps. Kaitlyn Keyes scored unassisted in the 34th minute for Federal Way.

Thomas Jefferson enjoyed a convincing victory Thursday.
Liz Fitch earned the shutout on goal. Sarah Byrne, Brittany Creek and Kindell Swynenberg all scored in the first half. In the second half, Swynenberg, Mallory Murray, Jasmine Sharpe, Murray, Shannon Hilby and Kelsey Learned all scored.

Maia Kurnik earned the shutout on goal for the Titans in a Saturday, Sept. 7 game. Brittany Orr scored on a Jordan Crook assist in the 41st minute and Orr put in an unassisted goal in the 44th. Crook struck unassisted in the 47th minute and Orr scored another unassisted goal in the 53rd. Kaylee Huie scored on a Crook assist in the 57th minute.

Amy Friedhoff won the first event for Thomas Jefferson last Thursday, posting a 2;15.18 time in the 200-yard individual medley. Friedhoff also won the 100 butterfly in 1;03.96 and Tavacsi won the 500 free in 5;54.60. The Raiders won the 200 free relay in 5;54.40 and the 400 free relay in 3:58.26.
Decatur 117, Kentwood 60
Decatur opened Thursday's meet by winning the 200 medley relay in 1;59.16 before Danielle Alger won the 200 free in 2;05.02 and Katie Matulic the 200 IM in 2:13.47. Briley Boggs won the 50 free in 25.79 and the 100 fly in 1:01. Alyssa Boggs took the 100 free in 58.44 and the Gators took the 200 free relay in 1:47.66. Matulic won the 100 backstroke in 1:03.07 and Danielle Alger the 100 breast in 1:15.84. Decatur took the final 400 free relay in 3;53.92.
Tahoma 125, Federal Way 61
Federal Way did not win any events Thursday until Keeley Craig took the 500 free in 5:54.22.

Todd Beamer took the opening 200 medley relay in 2:01.21 Thursday and Jenelle Freeborn won the 200 IM in 2:32.28. Eryn Murphy won the 50 free in 26.84 and Laura Schrader took the diving competition with 165.25 points. Jessica Soria won the 100 fly in 1:01.88 and Murphy the 100 free in 59.42. Beamer won the 200 free relay in 1:50.24 and Soria took the 100 back in 1:07.01. Freeborn won the 100 breast in 1:17.76.

Matt Dahl and Chase McLaughlin teamed up for a 6-1, 6-1 No. 3 doubles win.

Joseph Lee was a 6-2, 6-2 No. 1 singles winner for the Raiders last Monday, Oct. 9 and Jamie Oh won No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-0. Sam Yi and Branden Muraki teamed up for a 6-1, 6-1 No. 1 doubles victory. Derek Moore and Young Jeong took the No. 2 doubles match for TJ, 2-6, 7-5, 6-4.

Ludomir Wanot of Todd Beamer won No. 2 singles over the Vikings on Monday, Oct. 9, 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-4). Colin Zalewski and Jason Kim took the No. 2 doubles match, 1-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-2) and Mike Johnson and Sean O'Brien were 6-3, 6-1 No. 3 doubles winners.

Justine Beer scored 18 assists for TJ and Nyssa Hovda hammered home 13 kills. Tonya Johnson had seven kills and 12 digs and Frances Tanielu had 12 digs.

Brittany Kohler scored seven blocks for the Gators in last Wednesday's 25-11, 25-9, 25-10 loss. Stefanie Rojas struck for seven kills and Whitney Iwasaki had 14 assists.

Kentlake was victorious over the Eagles last Wednesday, 25-14, 25-12, 26-24.
Nadine Liaiana had seven assists, three digs and one ace and Marissa Ventura three kills, two aces, two digs and two blocks. Bre Bennett had three kills and four digs and Nichole Snorteland six digs and two aces.

The Gators scored a 21-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-16 victory over the Royals on Monday, Oct. 9.
Brittany Kohler had nine kills and four blocks and T.C. Colon had six blocks as Stefanie Ross scored 13 kills and two aces. Sam Waldmann had 10 kills and seven aces, Katie Wills 34 assists, three aces and two blocks and Whitney Iwasaki contributed 16 digs.
