Stereo thieves strike apartment complex

1. A man contacted Federal Way police to report that an unknown person or persons had broken into his vehicle and stolen several expensive items from inside. The man told police that his vehicle was parked in front of his apartment complex at 408 South 322nd Street. Earlier in the day on November 6, someone entered his vehicle, a black 2002 Honda, by prying open the top of the passenger door and stealing several items. The items included a Alpine CD player, valued a $250, a Rockford Fosgate amplifier and subwoofer, valued at $400, and $960 in CDs. There are no suspects in this case and officers have closed the investigation pending any new leads.
Fight near bar leaves victim bloody and clueless

Federal Way officers received a fight call from outside a bar on 32925 1st Avenue South around 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, the police found an unknown man lying in the middle of the parking lot bleeding from his head. Due to the man's possible drug and/or alcohol use, the victim was unable to report what had happened. The victim stated that he was in the bar and then assaulted by an unknown number of suspects and an unknown place by unknown means. An employee from the bar stated that the victim was never in the bar. Officers reported that they were unable to determine what had happened due to the victim's diminished mental state.

3. Federal Way officers followed up on a call of an unknown man parked in the drive-thru of the Jack in the Box restaurant at 2400 Southwest 336th Place around 5 a.m. on November 4. The driver was contacted by Federal Way police, who determined that he was passed out behind the wheel. The driver was later arrested for physical control. He was cited and transported to his residence.
Purse snatcher fingered by victim
4. A Federal Way officer was in a store on 34400 Pacific Highway South and observed a white male run eastbound across 16th Avenue South at South 344th Street. The officer detained the male at 1610 South 344th Street. The victim arrived at the scene moments later and said the suspect grabbed her purse off her shoulder without permission and took it. She positively identified the suspect the officer had detained. The suspect was then placed under arrest for the crime.
Theft of vehicle leads to extortion and blackmail
5. The owner of a stolen vehicle, a gray 1991 Acura, made contact with the thief who had stolen it via the owner's cell phone that was left inside. On the phone, the owner and the thief agreed to exchange the vehicle for $300 at Wal-Mart. Federal Way officers got involved in the pursuit, and spotted the Acura and the thief driving towards Wal-Mart. The police pulled over the vehicle, which had two occupants in it. They were both arrested for stealing the vehicle and for extortion/blackmail. The driver, the report states, had a handgun in his waistband and multiple felony convictions on his record. Federal Way police apprehended the car jackers near 32000 Pacific Highway South around 1:45 a.m.

6. Federal Way police reported that David Head, who lives at 32228 46th Place Southwest, admittedly discharged his .22 rifle twice in his back yard to put down a skunk he had caught. A reckless endangerment case was initiated by investigation and referred to the prosecutor. No arrest was made and Head's rifle was recovered as evidence. According to the report, the event took place around 2 p.m. on November 12.
