1. Federal Way police fielded a call regarding some malicious mischief that took place at a construction site near 34000 19th Avenue Southwest. The incident took place sometime between 4 p.m. and 6:30 a.m on the evening of January 27 and the morning of January 29. Representatives from Alpha Development contacted Federal Way police to report that an unknown person or persons had thrown a large rock through the front window of a backhoe at the construction site. One of the representatives reported that there was approximately $400 worth of damage done to the backhoe. There are no suspects at this time, nor was there evidentiary value found at the scene. Officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Woman has check stolen from glovebox
2. A woman came into the station to report that an unknown person or persons had stolen a check and used it fraudulently. The woman's report stated that her bank notified her that one of her checks had been stolen and that her account had been compromised. The woman, who lives on the 28600 block of 25th Place South, said that she later realized that the book of checks had been in her vehicle glovebox. The woman drives a 1999 Chevrolet. The woman said that she always locks her car, but remembers loaning her car to a friend. She also stated that she asked the friend about the checkbook and he hadn't taken it. But when she retrieved her car from him, she found the car unlocked in the parking lot with the glovebox open. It did not occur to her at the time that she left the checkbook inside. The event took place sometime during January 4.
Roommates get in fist fight, one left with bloody nose
3. Federal Way police followed up on a 911 call originating from a home on the 31500 block of 13th Avenue South. Upon arrival, officers contacted the reporting party, a man, who reported that he had witnessed two males who live in the house together fighting. One of the men, the report states, attacked the other roommate. The aggressor left southbound on 13th Avenue South. The officers made contact with the victim, who was bleeding from the mouth and nose. The victim stated that the suspect had punched him in the face. Officers took photos of the injuries, and the victim declined medical aid. The report does not indicate whether the officers were able to locate the suspect.
Unknown woman hits, keys man's vehicle
4. Federal Way officers arrived at the scene of some malicious mischief that had taken place to a vehicle parked near 31500 20th Avenue South. The incident took place at approximately 5:45 p.m on January 29. One of the witnesses observed the victim's vehicle being rammed and keyed by an unnamed white female. The witness gave the officers detailed suspect information and photographed the vehicle's damage. There is no other information listed in the report.
