The annual Fall Art Walk in downtown Burien will take place Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7-8.
Visitors can stroll along Southwest 152nd Street and experience a fall cornucopia of over 30 visual artists featured at participating businesses.
Complementing the visual arts will be artists representing aerial dance, theater and music.
Burien Parks and Recreation and the Burien Arts Commission sponsor the event.
"Skyscapes Aerial Dance Series" will challenge gravity by dancing in the air in new ways. This spectacle on Friday evening will also feature performances of "Three Minute Theater."
Condensing the whole theatrical experience into a few minutes, the piece includes dressing for the theater and seeing the show.
Starting at dusk on Friday, the Community Lantern Procession will illuminate the night as laminated paper lanterns flicker and shine with candlelight.
Seattle artist Paul Rucker will play the cello Saturday afternoon at 12:30.
Participating restaurants will offer happy hour pricing and more.
The Mark Restaurant will host "Be an artist with Food and Drink." Guests will be encouraged to create and name their own custom cocktail. Order dessert and "Paint Your Plate" with chocolate, caramel and more.
The Art Walk will run from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 7 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 8. For more information, call 206-988-3700 or visit www.burienparks.net.
