Federal Way 37, Kentlake 14
Federal Way came away with a big win in the South Puget Sound League North Division opener for both teams.
The Falcons took control early with a 7-0 lead, but the Eagles came soaring back with 37 unanswered points.
Andre Barrington started the scoring binge, running for a 6-yard touchdown. Kelyn Rowe then scored his first point after touchdown in four attempts.
Aaron Broussard snagged a 38-yard pass from Justin Southern for the next touchdown, then Barrington scored on a 4-yard run.
Rowe booted a 22-yard field goal after making the conversion kick for Barrington.
Barrington scored again on a 50-yard run, and also got the last Federal Way touchdown of the day on a 6-yard run.
Christian Faith 20, Raymond 14
Kenny Brown scored Christian Faith's first touchdown on a 37-yard pass from Tyler Savini, then Cameron Savini ran for a two-point conversion.
Brown then found paydirt again on a 55-yard pass play from Tyler Savini, but a pass for two points failed.
Cameron Savini struck on a 13-yard run for the final Christian Faith touchdown. The run for two points failed, but the Eagles still hung on for the win in the Saturday, Sept. 15 Class 2B action. The Christian Faith school is now in Federal Way.
Ev. Luth. 54, Chief Leschi 6
Evergreen Lutheran High School of Des Moines rumbled to an easy victory Saturday, Sept. 15 -- but it did not count in the SeaTac 2B League standings since it's the Eagles' first year and they're playing all non-league games.
Daniel Kurbis scored first on a 3-yard run and made his own conversion kick -- his first of five.
Kurbis also scored the second touchdown on a 6-yard run, before Nathanael Holter caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from Jack Parker.
Scott Lorette then got into the action in a big way, scoring three of Evergreen Lutheran's final four touchdowns.
After Lorette ran for a 30-yard touchdown, Ken Dryden returned an interception 34 yards for a touchdown. Lorette then scored on two 15-yard connections from Parker.
Rogers 43, Beamer 0
It was a crisp, cool evening at Federal Way Memorial Thursday, but it was raining as far as Todd Beamer was concerned. Rogers took a 7-0 lead by the end of the first quarter, then disappeared from sight at 36-0 by halftime.
Tahoma 42, TJ 28
Thomas Jefferson was tripped up by Tahoma in a road game Friday, but the Raiders were not without their highlights.
Kama Frank returned an interception 29 yards for a touchdown and Eric Harshfield kicked his first of four conversion kicks in as many tries.
Ronnielle Battles then ran four yards for a touchdown and Bryant Cameron caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Taylor Stark. Stark scored the final TJ touchdown on a 5-yard run.

Bear Creek 3, Ev. L. 2
Evergreen Lutheran took a 16-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-22, 15-10 loss to Bear Creek on Monday, Sept. 17.
Emily Kadeg had 35 assists and four aces for the Eagles and Alexis Miller scored 11 kills. Katie Wolfrum tallied 15 kills and three aces and Madison Stump had six kills.

Thomas Jefferson fell to the Conquerors by a 25-11, 25-8, 25-13 score Tuesday, Sept. 18.
Lauren Stark led the Raiders with 22 digs and Nyssa Hovda had 10.

The Eagles took a 25-9, 25-13, 25-15 loss to Kentridge last Tuesday, Sept. 18. Paulina McKenna scored four blocks.

Decatur made a clean sweep of its Tuesday, Sept. 18 match against Kent-Meridian.
Harry Choi of the Gators won No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-0, and Alex Eddy took the No. 2 match, 6-1, 6-0.
Alex Khudoliy and Charlie Chu teamed up for a 6-2, 6-0 No. 1 doubles win and C.J. Andrus and Devin Murphy took the No. 2 doubles match, 6-0, 6-2. Mah Crahan and Evan Ovig won No. 3 doubles, 6-0, 6-2.

Thomas Jefferson swept all three doubles matches for a win last Tuesday, Sept. 18.

The Raider boys took a 15-49 loss to Tahoma and a 17-41 loss to Kentridge in Wednesday, Sept. 19 action.
But TJ's girls won, 15-50, over Kentridge and lost, 23-32, to Tahoma.
Jenna Patrick took third in the girls race in 19:56 with Bennum fourth in 20:00.
Federal Way
Federal Way took a 23-34 girls loss to Kentlake but won, 23-35, over Kent-Meridian. Jasmine Johnson led by winning the individual race in 21:05.
The Eagle boys, meanwhile, lost, 19-41, to Kentlake and 22-39 to Kent-Meridian. Meron Simon placed fifth in 18:09.

The Titans took a 21-40 girls win over Spanaway Lake Wednesday, Sept. 19 but lost compared to Rogers, 25-30.
Grace Mussa finished second in 21:02 with Taylor Kartes third in 21:17.
