New blue timetables for Metro bus riders are now available on buses and in information racks at a variety of locations, including libraries and 7-11 stores.
The new Metro transit schedules went into effect Feb. 9. Many of the changes are funded through the Transit Now initiative, a 10-year bus service expansion plan approved by voters in 2006.
Last year, Transit Now increased options on South King County routes serving Burien, Tukwila, SeaTac and Renton and a number of Seattle communities.
For the first service change of 2008, the Transit Now focus is on the Redmond, Kirkland and Bellevue areas.
Metro updates its routes and scheduling three times a year to improve service and keep up with the changing needs of bus riders.
Metro customers can find all of the February changes detailed in the Special Rider Alert brochure, also available on buses and in information racks.
Information is available in the Trip Planner at www.kingcounty.gov/tripplanner. Enter a travel date to find trips that reflect Metro's changed service.
