Nick Taniely hit a two-run home run in the first inning, but the Eagles still came up short.

Thomas Jefferson was down, 8-0, going into the seventh and rallied for five runs, but still lost.

Spencer LeCompte and Johnny Palko both hit 2-for-4 for TJ and Derek Voigt hit 2-for-4 with three RBI with a two-run home run in the seventh.

Beamer 8, Curtis 7

Kenny Johnson won in relief for the Titans, with Paul Cohen hitting 2-for-2 with one run scored and Sean Goforth going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI. Justin Lee hit 1-for-3 including a game-winning three-run double.

Erin Fujita hit 3-for-5 for the Raiders in their recent win, with Christi Bruin hitting 3-for-4 with three RBI. Hannah Kiyohara hit 2-for-3 with two RBI and Shawntay Thong hit 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Decatur 20, Kent-Meridian 3

Kelsey Disbrow hit 4-for-4 with two RBI and Erin Slater, Lindsey Bright and Kelsey Bright all hit 3-for-4.

Curtis 13, Beamer 9

Taylor Winton hit 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBI for the Titans in the loss. Sarah Petoso scored three runs and stole three bases and Madi Wood had two RBI.

Carson Wolbert hit 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBI for the Titans in last Wednesday's win as Brian Corliss scored three runs and Sean Goforth hit 2-for-4 with one run and two RBI.

Chase Hanson scored on a Tyler Hanson assist in the 25th minute last Wednesday, then Carson Wright struck in the 65th minute and Tyler Hanson scored on a penalty kick in the 68th minute.

Decatur 3, K-M 1

Jarod Johnson sparked Decatur with a goal on an Alejandro Davenport assist last Wednesday, then Johnson assisted Austin Nuss on the next goal and Nuss assisted Elliott Klavuh on the third and final goal.

Kentwood 2, Federal Way 0

Federal Way fell to the Conquerors in a shutout match last Wednesday.

Beamer 2, Puyallup 2

The Titans played the Vikings to a tie last Wednesday.

Uko Okoli scored on a Daniel Nam assist and John Drayer scored Todd Beamer's second goal on an Okoli assist.

Boys soccer

TJ 4, Decatur 1

Drew Staples threw a complete-game win against Decatur Thursday, striking out seven in seven innings of work.

Johnny Palko hit 2-for-4 with one RBI for the Raiders and CJ Andrus hit 1-for-3 with a double for Decatur. Gavin Cuddie also doubled for the Gators.
