Suspect vandalizes vehicle with baseball bat

According to the complainant, a witness spotted a unknown person breaking out the windows on a parked vehicle with a baseball bat. The vehicle was a black 1996 Ford. The registered owner is not known because the vehicle was recently sold to a new owner. The suspect spotted the witness and ran after him, threatening him and yelling at him. Federal Way officers attempted to search the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him. No other suspect information is listed in the report. Burglars make off with computers and electronics
4. Federal Way police investigated a home break-in that resulted in the theft of several pieces of electronic equipment and more than $1,000 in miscellaneous items. According to the victim, the burglar or burglars took a Dell laptop, valued at $700.00, an IBM laptop, valued at $500.00 and a grey HP palm pilot, valued at $200.00. Possible break-in thwarted?
5. The resident of a home on the 3600 block of South 334th Street contacted Federal Way police because he believed that an unknown person or persons had attempted to enter his home. The resident claimed that he heard his window rattle around 4:45 a.m. on the morning of June 3. After a brief investigation, the resident determined that there was no damage to any of his outside windows or doors. The resident told Federal Way officers that he saw a 1990's model Nissan Sentra and a White 1990's model Nissan Sentra speed away from the scene. It is not determined if the drivers of those vehicles had attempted to gain entrance into the house.
Boyfriends parents attempt to kick out girlfriend
6. A woman contacted Federal Way police on June 3 because she returned home to find the locks on the doors of her residence changed. The incident took place around 7:30 a.m., according to the report. The woman told officers that she had been living with her boyfriend's parents for three years. According to the woman, the parents told her she had a week to move. The woman told officers that she did not know her boyfriend's parents' names, where they were or their phone numbers. She told officers she did not know this information because she never spoke to them, primarily because they did not speak English. Officers attempted to contact the residents, but no one was home. Officers advised the woman that she would have to be issued an eviction notice.
Tinted windows eventually land driver in jail
Federal Way traffic officers conducted a routine traffic stop on a driver who was operating a vehicle with windows with too much tint. The suspect had no drivers license when confronted by Federal Way police. The suspect also provided the officers with a false name. The officer decided to detain the driver, who later provided the police with his correct name. Officers identified the driver as Brian M. Watley. Police arrested Watley and transported him to the RJC, where he was booked. The incident took place on the 35400 block of 25th Avenue Southwest, around 9:30 a.m. on June 3.
Burglars swipe DVD collection
Federal Way officers arrived at the scene of a burglary that took place sometime during the workday hours of June 3. One of the residents arrived home and saw that the house had been ransacked. The resident lives at a home on the 30800 block of 7th Avenue Southwest. According to the report, the burglars entered the home through the back door. They allegedly stole a computer, some DVDs, valued at $1,000, and two DVD players, valued at $250.00. The resident reported that the back door was open when he returned home. There was no visible sign of a forceful entry, and the victim admitted to officers that sometimes their back door does not lock. The total loss is estimated at $2,533.00. No suspect information is listed in the report and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Shoplifter busted at Fred Meyer
Federal Way officers followed up on a report of a shoplifter in custody at the local Fredy Meyer store at 33702 21st Avenue Southwest. The loss prevention staff said they caught the suspect, a minor, trying to exit the store passing the last point of sale without paying for merchandise. The minor attempted to conceal the goods in her backpack. The girls was arrested and released to her aunt. The report does not indicated what type of merchandise the girl tried to steal. The incident took place around 3 p.m. on the afternoon of June 3.
