June 22 Officers responded to a call for a property theft involving a bicycle that was left unattended at a tanning salon near the 3400 block of Hoyt Rd. The victim indicated that they had parked the bicycle, a pastel green and pink 24" 'Jazz Rocket TRQ' in some arbor vitae trees along side a fence by Walgreens. When they finished the tanning session, the unlocked bicycle was gone.
June 21 Police followed up on a call to the 2400 block of Star Lake Rd. where a property theft and some damage involving a car stereo had occurred. The complainant said that some persons had attempted to remove a Pioneer radio from his car, a silver 1996 Ford, and had damaged the buttons and face plate in the botched effort. The suspect then turned to the glovebox where they made off with a $200 dollar knife.
June 21Another motor vehicle break-in netted a thief a brown bag with some fabric and clothing valued at $200 from a Blue 1990 Toyota parked near the 1700 block of S. 320th. The complainant also reported the loss of an MP3 player and a Sony MDR -V600 worth $120 and $100, respectively.
June 21Yet another auto break-in of a 1998 Volkswagon parked near 328th and 1st Ave. resulted in the loss of a English Riding Saddle that was only three weeks old. Complainant also reported the loss of additional minor tack and other horse-related equipment. No valuation given.
June 21 Officers responded to a call of Malicious Mischief at the Federal Way Goodwill Store. At aprox. 13:06, thieves broke in and destroyed some pad locks and seals. Value of loss reported to be aproximately $500.
June 21 According to a report filed by Federal Way Police, a hit and run involving a Blue 1991 Toyota and 2008 Volkswagen occurred when the Toyota was traveling southbound on 12th Place where it crunched the Volkswagen, along with a tile wall. The suspect drove away from the scene and attempted to hide the Toyota in the back yard of his home. An arrest was made at the home.
June 21 Officers answered a Domestic Dispute call at 10:02 pm in the 1500 block of S.W 321st after a female called and complained that she had been choked but not injured by her estranged male counterpart. When officers arrived, the female complainant suggested that the dispute was only verbal, not physical. No marks or injuries were observed on the reportee. The suspect was not on location to be interviewed.
