Car prowlers steal driver's prescription drugs

1. A man filed an online police report indicating that his car was broken into. The report states that the man lives on the 35100 block of Enchanted Parkway South. The incident took place around 8:57 p.m. on the evening of July 18. The report states that the man returned to his vehicle to find that an unknown person or persons had entered the vehicle without his permission. The man is the registered owner of a maroon 2004 Ford. The thieves had stolen a bottle of stool softener and approximately 170 oxicodone pills. The contents of the vehicle were scattered inside. The registered owner of the vehicle did not discover the pills missing until his present prescription expired. There is no suspect information listed in the report and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Vandals go for a joy ride in man's yard
2. The victim of malicious mischief contacted Federal Way police to report that an unknown person or persons had damaged his yard and property by driving a vehicle through it. The victim lives on the 1200 block of Southwest 326th Place. According to the report, the incident took place around 9 p.m. on the evening of July 18. The victim indicated in his report that the driver of a truck intentionally smashed into his yard waste bin that was sitting at the curb. The driver continued into the victim's driveway and landscaped yard, leaving tire tracks across the driveway from the burning tire rubber and tearing up a portion of the yard. A landscaped plant, valued at $50, was destroyed during the incident. The suspect also destroyed an 8-foot tall evergreen tree.
Car prowlers scatter vehicle contents through neighborhood
3. Another online police report informed Federal Way officers that car prowlers had targeted a home on the 32800 block of 26th Place Southwest. The registered owner of a Ford truck and a silver 2007 Ford Edge told police that they had left the vehicles unlocked overnight, and that an unknown person or persons had broken into them. The registered owner found much of the contents of the vehicles scattered around the neighborhood. The report states that random contents from the vehicles appear to be missing, but nothing of any real value was inside to steal. They have no idea what the thieves were looking for. The prowlers even left the change that was inside the vehicles. The registered owner said that they usually lock the vehicles, and that this incident was merely happenstance. Their report indicated that they were missing a Mizuno softball and an iPod accessory, valued at $1. There is no suspect information, and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Hit-and-run driver kills man's pug
4. The resident of a home in the Twin Lakes golf course area, near Southwest 327th Street, contacted Federal Way police via an online report to inform them that an unknown woman had struck and killed his three-year-old black pug. The woman suspect drove a Honda Accord or Civic 4-door vehicle. According to the victim's report, the woman was driving down Southwest 327th Street between 11:30 a.m. and noon on July 18. As she passed by the victim's house, the driver hit and killed the man's pug. The report states that the man yelled at the woman to stop, but she kept driving away as if she didn't even care what she did. The man's statement indicated that there was no way the woman didn't see the man or didn't feel that she had just hit the man's dog. There is no other suspect information listed in the report.

5. The registered owner of a gold 2004 Honda contacted Federal Way police to report that an unknown person or persons had broken into her vehicle and stolen various items from inside. The woman filed an online police report after discovering her property stolen and damaged around 9 p.m. on July 18. The thieves had also scratched her car door and chipped the paint, and they also left the the trunk open. The report states that the woman is missing a silver Canon A570 IS digital camera, as well as a Garmin nuvi 650 GPS system, valued at $650. The woman is also missing $40 in cash, taken from inside the vehicle. There is no suspect information available, and officers have closed the case pending new leads.

6. The victim of an assault and robbery contacted Federal Way police via an online report. According the entry, the incident took place at the AM/PM convenience store around 11:20 p.m. on the evening of July 18. The victim stated that he and a friend were approached by two black males who asked them if they had a cigarette. The men began threatening them for money and their personal items, which they handed over. During the incident, which took place at 2211 South Star Lake Road, the friend of the reporting victim was hit on his chin by a bare hand. Both victims reported having their Japanese passports stolen along with their English dictionaries. The assailants also stole the victim's iPod and both men's wallets. There is no suspect information listed in the report, and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Car prowlers steal more prescription meds
7. A woman who had her vehicle parked near 34800 Pacific Highway South contacted the Federal Way police via an online report. The report stated that an unknown person or person had broken into her vehicle and stolen a Spongebob CD player along with most of the woman's prescription medication. The women told police that she did not care about the Spongebob CD player, only the medication, and that some of the pills were more important to her than others. The woman said she desperately needed her blood pressure, thyroid and diabetes meds. The victim also stated that she was missing her prescription pain medication and her anti-anxiety pills. The woman indicated in the report that some of the pills are considered controlled substances and that she needed to file a police report for insurance purposes. The report came in around 11:20 p.m. on the evening of July 18. There is no suspect information and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
