Editor: OK, so unlicensed bicyclists are "demanding" things for themselves. Big friggin whoop! Another "group making demands", just what we need. What the hell about us drivers? Are we all 2nd class boobs then? Where are the "dedicated turn lanes" along Market St.? What about the rest of Ballard too? 80th is terrible, being there is merely one avenue with an actual turn-lane there, all others are a risk.

Doesn't anybody EVER drive through Ballard from SDOT? What the bleep are they waiting for as far as modernizing intersections? And hizzoner is "going to plant more trees", and "end homelessness" too huh? Even more really great society? Did anybody else read Joel Connelly 9/8/06? The PI should be held culpable also. So what is it going to take? Hasn't Ballard seen just the beginning of things to come? For Gods sakes it down right idiotic when it comes down to it. Close to anarchy for me. More of an "obstacle course" and getting worse.

Why isn't there a turn-lane @ 17th and Market heading either way? Why, when there are a gazillion condos, not new signals at 20th, 22nd? Just like @ 24th? Why do "they" treat us the little children they think we are, and not fix this? Where the bleep are peoples priorities? Bush is NOT running again people!

As a lifer here (48+), local politicians aren't making any nicer, at all. Do we need another "name that bad street contest"? Really? Do we need home for drinking drunks? Is Seattle TOO damn liberal for itself today? Do we need more death/injury first, then we'll "take a look"? More studies? Committees? Blue ribbon panels to see the freaking obvious? Market street and 80th ARE nuts. There, I "feel better".
