Washington State Ferries asks that travelers allow for extra time over the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend.
The heaviest backups and overloading are anticipated 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, on westbound routes.
Return traffic is anticipated to be heaviest Sunday, Sept. 2, afternoon and evening and morning sailings on Labor Day, Sept. 3, as people return early to prepare their children to return to school.
Washington State Ferries will be providing the following service for this holiday.
- Anacortes/San Juan Islands: Regular weekday schedule
- Port Townsend/Keystone: Regular weekday schedule
- Mukilteo/Clinton: Regular weekday schedule
- Edmonds/Kingston: Regular weekday schedule
- Seattle/Bainbridge: Holiday schedule
- Seattle/Bremerton: Regular weekday schedule
- Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth: Holiday schedule
- Point Defiance/Tahlequah: Holiday schedule
- Seattle/Vashon Passenger-Only: Not in service on holiday
