Three suspects were arrested and charged with first-degree murder late last week in connection with the Aug. 28 shooting death of 15-year-old Thaddeus Soth.
While spending the night at a friend's house, Soth, a Burien resident, was fatally injured when struck by a bullet as shots were fired into the basement where he was sleeping.
The North Highline home where the crime occurred around 1 a.m. is in the 1200 block of South 124th Street.
The three were identified by King County Sheriff's deputies as Brian Khlem, 18, Tony Rem, 16, both of Tukwila, and Sione Faokula, 15, of Seattle.
All three were taken into police custody without incident.
Formal charges were to be filed in King County Superior Court by the prosecutor's office.
Investigators believe that someone at the residence had accused a friend of the alleged shooters of stealing.
After bragging to their friends about planning to use handguns to shoot at the house, the suspects allegedly walked up to the home and fired seven rounds into the basement, deputies added.
Four teens were in the basement, including the resident, at the time of the deadly shooting.
Both Khlem and Rem have extensive criminal records that include burglary, harassment, and second-degree assault.
All three are being held with in the King County Jail on $500,000 bail each. They will be arraigned on September 8.
Khlem and Rem will be tried as adults.
