The North Highline Unincorporated Area Council (NHUAC) will hold a community meeting Thursday, Sept. 15, to receive public comment on annexation .
The 7 p.m. meeting at St. Bernadette School, 1028 S.W. 128th St., is to learn what the public wants for levels of services if North Highline were to incorporate into its own city, annex to Burien, or annex to Seattle.
Council members want to know the levels of service a city government should provide the area, which includes the public's vision for police, fire and emergency needs, streets, library, parks and recreation, animal control, and social services.
A work/study session will be held at 6 p.m., at which the North Highline Fire Department, Medic One, Water Districts 20 and 45, Southwest Suburban Sewer District and ValVue Sewer District will explain how annexation or incorporation would impact their services.
The council will not take any official action at the work/study session. The public is invited to attend.
