To the editor:

City councilmember Jeanne Burbidge listens, cares and makes effective decisions. She evaluates all aspects of a situation, and then votes for an action which will benefit all residents of Federal Way. This has been her sensible and practical approach throughout her two terms on the City Council, and during her 2002-2003 term as mayor.

Such level-headed thinking is appreciated regionally, especially on the South County Area Transportation board where she served for eight years. Statewide her good judgment and widespread knowledge have produced transportation funding for Federal Way. Her peers on the Washington State Transportation Improvement Board recognized her ability by naming her the board's vice-chair after only one year serving with the group.

It is vital to have Jeanne continue to serve Federal way at the local, regional and state level. That's why I'm voting for Jeanne Burbidge, Position 4, in the Federal Way City Council election.
