With election day less than a month away, John Creighton added another endorsement last week in his race for Seattle Port Commission Position 1.
Creighton was endorsed by the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 302, the Pacific Merchant Shipping Association, and the Seattle King County Association of Realtors.
Former Governor and U.S. Sen. Dan Evans also has endorsed Creighton.
"John Creighton will bring strategic vision, thoughtful deliberation, and decisive judgment to the Port, exactly what is needed for greater economic development," said Allan Darr, business manager and general vice president of IUOE Local 302.
The local represents approximately 9,000 members in the construction industry and the public sector throughout Central Puget Sound and does much of the work on Port infrastructure.
"I'm gratified to have the support of Local 302 and of so many others for whom a strong Port is important," said Creighton.
"I've said it before, but I really think these new endorsements continue to prove that people recognize I will listen to and represent all King County citizens, not just a few special interests or communities," he added.
