The Pajama Game

When a person in a neighboring apartment building saw an argument between father and son in a stairwell, he called 911. Officers arrived and discovered that that the boy was OK, but had not wanted to go to school that day. As a result, the father decided the boy should just go to school in his pajamas. This did not sit well with the would-be truant, who lay down on the floor and started screaming. Officers encouraged dad to speak with the school about help with truancy issues.
A local woman has been missing since Thanksgiving, when she failed to appear at a family holiday meal. The woman's car is still at her job site, and interviews with those who know her indicate that she had been providing conflicting information about her living situation and employment to family and friends.
A girl was spending time with dad when they got into an argument. The girl called mom, who drove over to pick her up at the father's residence. When she arrived, her ex-husband pointed a shotgun in her face and said, "Leave right now or I will shoot you." The woman left, calling 911 as she drove. The daughter escaped and was able to get to her mom's house. In the meantime, officers confronted dad, who ordered officers off his property and refused orders to show his hands and get to the ground. He claimed to have only a shotgun in the home, but officers also found a .357 semi-automatic pistol and three magazines and 146 shotgun shells. The 49-year-old was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
After her 7-year-old son suffered a "mental breakdown" and locked himself in her car, a local mom called 911. The child, who has been diagnosed with several mental disorders, had been screaming and assaulting her in a local store. Mom admitted she needed help and that she wanted to get him to a hospital but was afraid to drive with her son in the back seat, fearing that he would assault her while she was driving. Officers called an ambulance to transport the child, who became agitated and tried to bite the medics while making an escape attempt. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
After observing a driver go the wrong way around a traffic circle, officers stopped the car and were greeted with the strong odor of marijuana. In the car they found a 45-caliber semi-automatic handgun with 7 rounds in the clip, two 9 mm bullets, 23 grams of cocaine and a scale and other items typically used by dealers. A backpack contained $316 in cash. One suspect had six gold-colored necklaces in his pockets, and he later admitted that he had stolen them from his mother. Two of the three in the car were arrested. One, a 21-year-old, went to King County Jail for investigation of firearms charges and drug distribution. The other, a 16-year-old, was booked into the Youth Service Center. A third person was released.
Persons in a gold Honda Civic lifted the rear panel in a beverage truck that was parked making deliveries on Delridge and managed to steal half a case of Budweiser.
A transient was booked under an outstanding warrant after officers responded to the Junction area about a man throwing rocks at a woman.
On 8th South, officers investigated a suspicious circumstances call. The front door of a home looked damaged and was standing open. The interior lights were on. A pit-bull greeted the officers, who noticed that the house was unkempt and had no running water. Because they could find nothing else unusual, the officers fed and watered and dog and left the home. They asked Animal Control to check on the dog's well being the next day.
