Thief kidnaps pregnant Chihuahua
A woman contacted police to report that a male in a white Oldsmobile saw the dog running loose and picked up her pet, Mommas, for his daughter. She did not get a full read on the license plate. The woman said that Mommas was a two-pound black long-haired Chihuahua with a graying chin that is currently pregnant. The owner of the dog promised to email photos of her for the report.
Carjackers target old Olds
The registered owner of a gray 1986 Oldsmobile contacted police to report the theft of her vehicle from her residence on the 28600 block of Pacific Highway South. The woman had no suspects or witnesses to report and officers exhausted their leads in the case.
Yelling is not a crime
Officers arrived at the scene of a verbal domestic argument at the 29200 block of Military Road South. At an apartment complex there, the police took a verbal statement from one of the involved party, who said that they had been assaulted by the other person. After some investigation, officers determined that they did not have enough evidence to charge either party with assault.
Car thieves nabbed
A Federal Way officer in a marked patrol car spotted a suspected stolen vehicle near 348th Street and Pacific Highway South. After confirming the stolen status with Auburn police, the officer conducted what the report called a "high risk stop" of the 1994 black Honda Civic near South 356th Street. The officer took both suspects into custody.
Police bust party at the Marriott
After someone set off a fire alarm at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Federal Way, officers arrived at the scene to investigate some suspicious circumstances that occurred in one of the rooms. Police cited one suspect for minor in possession of alcohol. The party had also caused some damage to the room. Officers could not locate the suspect who rented the hotel room.
Violent boyfriend splits after argument
A woman who lives in an apartment complex on the 20 block of 341st Place called 911 after she and her boyfriend had an argument. She asked him to leave, but the boyfriend refused, and she threatened to call 911. When officers arrived, the man had left the scene. The police gave her a domestic violence pamphlet and information on filling out an order of protection.
Victim can't dodge car break-in
The registered owner of a silver 2005 Dodge, who lives on the 1400 block of Southwest 314th Street, notified police that her car was broken into and several items stolen around 10 a.m. The woman told officers that she may not have locked the vehicle. Theives lifted a Panasonic digital camera, valued at $400, a Verizon cell phone, valued at $100, a Dooney & Burke bag, valued at $100, and $40 in cash. They also grabbed her identification and several credit cards. Federal Way police have no suspects at this time.
