Abduction

A woman reports that she was abducted from Harbor Avenue Wednesday morning after pulling over to fix a flat tire. Two white men in their twenties, one armed with a gun, allegedly held her for 24 hours before releasing her. She also reports that twice in the past month, a pickup truck has pulled in front of her home and two white males have taken a photo of her through a sliding glass door. The investigation is ongoing.
While patrolling North Admiral, an officer pulled a car over for having expired tabs. A routine computer check showed that the car's license plate didn't match the vehicle identification number. It turns out the car had been stolen in King County. The driver, a 36-year-old Maple Valley man, was carrying three knives, a Leatherman tool, small screwdrivers and several flashlights. He denied knowing that the car was stolen (though the ignition and trunk locks had been "punched") and claimed that the car was on loan from a friend. He and his female passenger, a 33 year-old Kent resident, were booked into King County Jail for investigation of auto theft.
A man recently out of jail took a ride on a bicycle without a helmet. When an officer stopped him for this violation, the man's behavior was erratic and he seemed "over stimulated." While frisking him, officers found a bag of crack cocaine, worth $400. He was booked back into King County Jail for investigation of drug charges.
A vacant home in the Arroyos is apparently being used as a flophouse. Responding to a burglary complaint, officers found the home's doors unlocked, garbage and liquor bottles strewn everywhere, and toilets full of human waste. (Power and electric services have been terminated.) Citizens report that the owner of the home is aware of the problem but hasn't done anything to resolve the situation.
Unknown persons caused $6,000 worth of damage at a small construction area inside Lincoln Park last week. An excavator and a backhoe had broken windows and engine damage, and in a men's restroom someone broke the sinks and pipes.
A man was surprised to discover that he owed $16,000 on a credit card. It seems that back in December, a friend's name was added to the account as an authorized user. The friend had stayed at the victim's home for several months in the fall, and would have had access to his mail.
Near White Center, a 24-year-old woman reports that a man in a red Volkswagen convertible beckoned to her as she waited for a bus. She ignored him and got on the bus, but noticed that the car followed, and was still behind the bus when she got off. She took down the car's license plate, and officers discovered that the vehicle is licensed to a registered sex offender.
While walking her dog in a parking lot at 21st and Holden Wednesday afternoon, a woman saw two unleashed pit bulls charge. One grabbed her dog by the back and started shaking it. The pit bulls' owner ran to the scene and gave his name and phone number to the victim, whose dog was treated at the vet for a bite on his back.
Someone stole an electric piano from a closet in the sanctuary of Hope Lutheran church last week. $1,000 loss.
