Born in Honolulu, Hawaii; passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup.

Shirley is survived by her five children; Caius Charnell, Corlen Charnell, Robin Delgado, Debra Olberg, Stacy Salazar, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was very active in local politics, women's issues and the Federal Way community.

One of her passions was creating paintings with Encaustic Wax techniques. Shirley also enjoyed nature as evidenced by her many visits to the Washington coast as well as Hawaii.

She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Memorial services will be at Unity Church of Edgewood on February 18th, 2006 at 3:00pm. 253-446-1000.
